Dr. Mark Schoemann is a body sculpting specialist in San Diego, as a student of art Dr. Schoemann understands the time that is required for an excellent liposuction result. Liposuction requires a steady hand and an artists patience to get an outstanding result. We have many patients that visit our office that require liposuction touch-up work because of a bad result from an inexperienced surgeon or technician. If you are shopping around for liposuction we recommend focusing more on the surgeon than the technology. Liposuction is by far one of the most common cosmetic surgical procedures performed today, and our patients love the results that Dr. Schoemann provides them.
Liposuction is not an alternative to weight loss, liposuction is recommended for those that have fatty areas that simply can’t be resolved through diet and exercise. For best result with liposuction we recommend having a healthy body mass index. With a healthy BMI you will love your liposuction results by Dr. Schoemann.
If you are considering lipo in San Diego you most likely have been working out and trying everything to lose those extra pounds. Whether it is a muffin top driving you nuts or fat on thighs, we can help give you the bathing suit ready body you have been dreaming of at the gym. For many people, genetics play a roll in those stubborn fat areas, it doesn’t matter if you work out and eat right those fat deposits can only be address through liposculpture. If that is your case then liposculpture is right for you.
Liposuction recovery is by far one of the easier recoveries from surgery our patients experience. With the advancement in the lipo technology and techniques, soreness is on the moderate side and most people go back to work after a few days of resting. After surgery you will receive a compression garment to wear for the first few weeks, the garment is thin and can be worn discreetly under your clothing. Typically after four weeks you can go back to working out and other strenuous activity.
Optimal results from the procedure take a few months, but you will see a difference immediately. Swelling from the procedure can last up to three months and varies from patient to patient depending on how well you heal and how many areas lipo was performed on.
The areas where liposuction is performed, those fat cells are permanently removed, so yes it is permanent. But it is important to keep a healthy body weight, because fat will still grow in the untreated areas. The results are long term and permanent, but again we can’t emphasize enough to keep a healthy body weight following your procedure.
While CoolSculpting is widely marketed for fat reduction, and we offer at our office, it also it has its limits. CoolSculpting does offer a non-surgical alternative to Liposuction, and can help with shrinking fat, but it doesn’t offer the sculpting abilities of liposculpture.
